Oral cancer or mouth cancer usually occurs on the lips inside the mouth. It is frequently found in men than women. People addicted to smoking and chewing tobacco have a high risk of mouth cancer.

The most common of all mouth cancer symptoms and life-threatening is a painless sore, in the initial stages on the lips, teeth, tongue, salivary glands, gums, the lower and the upper palate of the mouth and many other parts of the mouth which bleeds repeatedly and doesn.t heal for a considerable period of time.

The growth of mouth cancer is also rapid and spreads quickly to the neck and lymph nodes. Gradually, while the tumor starts increasing in size, it causes burning sensation and does not tend to heal even after two weeks. Cheeks might become thickened or swollen or a rough spot or patch is developed that gets eroded and looks bumpy that can be felt by the tongue that could be symptoms of mouth cancer.

There is also a loss of sensation in some area of the mouth. Mouth might become swollen and there could be uncomfortable pain in the throat. At times, there would be a swelling in the jaws too. White, red, pinkish, brownish or dark patches develop which are thick and velvety which is possibly a mouth cancer symptom. Pus between the gums and teeth is another possible symptom of mouth cancer. It becomes difficult to chew or even swallow or eat properly or to move the jaws easily due to the numbness in the mouth, with a loss or damage of teeth.

Another possible symptom is a lining of the mouth is felt irritated and another layer of skin develops on it. A person affected by mouth cancer also experiences a sudden and unreasonable loss in weight. There is a change in voice, and difficulty in speaking or talking too with a pale-looking lump in the neck which doesn.t heal quickly. More possible mouth cancer symptoms are feeling that something is caught in the throat which does not goes down.

Jaws too become tight. Discolored gums tongue or lining of the mouth are also the symptoms of mouth cancer leading to continuous bad breath. People wearing dentures suffer from irritation and they might even not fit in the mouth properly. Difficulty in moving the tongue and pronouncing words is another mouth cancer symptoms.
